"More than any other recording venture I have ever involved myself in, this one was led by God. I had a sense
that He gave me a clear, simple idea of a product He wanted to see available, and that He
was asking me to bring it into existence. The basic idea was to bring the cross of Christ
before people, for:
It would be well for us to spend a thoughtful
hour each day in contemplation of the life of Christ. We should take it point by point,
and let the imagination grasp each scene, especially the closing ones.
"The project has both narration and
music. It weaves the voices of myself and my children reading straight through several
chapters of the book Christ Our Savior (a commentary on the life of Christ), with
songs. There are traditional songs, songs of my own composition, and scripture songs to
make up the total of thirteen beautifully produced cuts. The whole experience paints the
mind's eye with the scenes of the garden, the trials and the cross. By the end of the
production, which runs just slightly over one hour, you are sitting at the feet of Jesus
in worship. The project comes in both narrated and non-narrated versions, so you can get
just the songs if you like, but I recommend the narrated version for the full
impact."
